The First Vice President stressed the need for relentless efforts and the use of all facilities of Kohgiluyeh & Boyer-Ahmad Province and Khuzestan Province to control forest fires especially in the protected area of Kha'eez.

According to FRWO's website, quoted from the Government Information Center, Iranian First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri in a telephone call with the Governor General of Kohgiluyeh & Boyer-Ahmad on Friday, was briefed on the latest situation in the region and efforts to control the fire.

The VP also asked the Governor General of Kohgiluyeh & Boyer-Ahmad to coordinate plans with Minister of Defense Brigadier General Amir Hatami and the Head of National Disaster Management Organization (NDMO) Esma'eel Najjar to handle the situation by deploying firefighting helicopters in the region.

The Governor General of Kohgiluyeh & Boyer-Ahmad also reported on the latest developments in the Kha'eez Protected Area.
