A boulevard in the district 22 of Tehran Mega City was named in the
name of Forest Guards (Forest Rangers). In this ceremony, Head of Forest, Range
and Watershed management Organization FRWO), Mayor of the district 22 of Tehran
capital, A member of Tehran City Council and some of the managers of FRWO and
Municipality were invited as well.
According to FRWO’s website, in a ceremony attended by Massoud Mansour, Head of FRWO accompanied by Morteza Rahmanzadeh, Mayor of District 22 of Tehran capital, and, Arash Milani, Head of the Tehran City Council Environment Committee and a number of municipal managers and FRWO's director generals, a boulevard in the western district of the capital was named for Janagalban (Ranger).
Massoud Mansour, Head of FRWO at the naming ceremony of Ranger (Forester) Boulevard (boulevar-e- Jangalban) in commemoration of the Ranger Day, in honor of the memory of the foresters who have lost their lives to protect natural resources, said: " Forester (Jangalban) Boulevard has been named for them after a lifetime of self-sacrifice and identification of the country's rangers in the protection of natural resources."
Based on this report, at the end of the unveiling ceremony of
Jangalban Boulevard, the Director General of Natural Resources and Watershed Management
Department (NRWD) of Tehran Province and the Mayor of District 22 have signed a
memorandum of understanding for the construction of Shamshad (Buxus hyrcana
tree) Watershed Park.
