Head of FRWO said that country's rangeland cadastral survey will be completed by the end of current year. He noted that the average formulation of rangeland management plan in the last forty years in Iran was 1870 hectares annually, which with a leap in the formulation; this figure has reached 5, 600 thousand hectares last year.  

According to FRWO's website, quoted from Natural Resources and Watershed Management Department (NRWD) in Khorasan Razavi Province, Dr. Masoud Mansour who was present at the opening ceremony of the First International and the Eighth National Conference on Rangeland Management in Iran held at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad said that the United Nations General Assembly declare 2021 – 2030 the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration and 2026 will be a year of serious concern for rangelands and pastoralists.

He noted that the coordination of rangeland experts and professors with the rangeland-related executive agencies as well as the efforts to make an optimal use of other rangeland capacities, especially the development of medicinal herbs, are important steps towards integrated rangeland management.
