Minister of Agriculture Jahad announced that natural resources are part of the lasting and intergenerational legacy and we strive to preserve these valuable resources to the best of our ability in the best way.

According to FRWO’s website, Seyed Javad Sadati Nejad, Minister of Agriculture Jahad at the fifth national commemoration ceremony of natural resources and forest ranger victims held at FRWO Headquarters on Tuesday, referring to the sacrifices of rangers, noted: "We will definitely use local knowledge to preserve forests and rangelands, and of course we expect number of occurrences of series of good events to restore and protect forests and rangelands.

Minister Agriculture Jahad reiterated: "There is currently no law on Integrated Watershed Management (IWM) plan in the country, and we hope that with the support of the Parliament for IWM bill, FRWO will have more services based on the law in this regard".

He stated: "There are a lot of destruction in natural resources, forests and rangelands in recent years. Increased fire risk and a longer fire season, occurrence of forest fires, even in arid areas are the signs of climate change that has destructive effects on the nature.

Sadati Nejad concluded: "Natural resources comprise 135 million hectares of our national territory and FRWO mandated to manage these vast expanses".
