Ambassadors and Representatives of International Organizations Pay Tribute to the Martyrs of the Natural Resources Organization in the Ramadan War
A group of ambassadors from more than ten countries and representatives of specialized international organizations visited the Natural Resources and Watershed Management Organization of Iran on Monday morning. During the visit, they inspected the buildings damaged as a result of the attack by the American-Zionist enemies on the organization during the Ramadan War and paid tribute to the martyrs of the attack

Dr. Reza Aflatouni, Deputy Minister of Jihad-e Agriculture and Head of the Natural Resources and Watershed Management Organization, paid tribute to those who lost their lives in the cause of protecting nature during the visit of foreign guests to the memorial site of the organization’s martyrs.

He stated: “These martyrs were devoted forest rangers and sincere guardians of natural resources who lost their lives in the path of protecting the country’s national heritage, solely because they stood against timber smuggling, forest destruction and illegal land encroachments.”

During the visit of the invited guests to the buildings destroyed in the enemy attack, Dr. Aflatouni explained the damage inflicted on the organization’s infrastructure and said: “The enemy targeted an institution whose main mission is to ensure the country’s biological security and food security. In these attacks, in addition to the martyrdom of our forest ranger colleagues, vital sections of the organization were completely destroyed, including the specialized Natural Resources Museum, which contained equipment and cameras dating back more than 120 years and served as a symbol of the organization’s identity and history.”

The Head of the Natural Resources Organization added: “In addition to administrative sections, service and public facilities, including the kindergarten, prayer hall, guesthouse, restaurant, Office of Education, Extension and Public Participation, and the organization’s sports complexes, were also hit in these attacks.”

At the end of the visit, foreign ambassadors and representatives of international organizations expressed sympathy and paid tribute to the martyrs of the Ramadan War by laying flowers. In addition, seven saplings were planted in the premises of the Natural Resources Organization in memory of seven distinguished martyrs of the organization and the student martyrs of Minab, so that their sacrifices in protecting the country’s green assets would be honored and remembered.
