The oak germinating pest has reached the eruption stage in about 700 hectares of the province's forests and the fight against this pest has begun in 300 hectares.

Asghar Ahmadi in an interview with Payam-e-Tabiat reporter on Saturday added: The oak sprout pest has reached the eruption stage in about 700 hectares of the province's forests and the fight against this pest has begun in 300 hectares.

According to him, 311,000 hectares of the province's forests are in the cities of Lordegan, Khanmirza, Ardal, Kiar and Koohrang. Started by foliar application.

He said: "Currently, the most important pest of these trees is the oak sprout, and the lack of funds is the most important problem to carry out a plan to deal with it at all levels infected with this pest."

He said: "Currently, the most important pest of these trees is oak sprouts, and the lack of funds is the most important problem to carry out a plan to deal with it at all levels infected with this pest."

Ahmadi pointed to the identification of several critical centers of oak germinating pests in the province based on the monitoring and said: "Currently, the plan to deal with oak germinating pests is feasible due to lack of funds in a small number of infected centers."

According to him, this year, 550 million tomans of credit was allocated to the province to fight against the oak germ-eating pest, which is not enough to deal with the plan and the level involved with the pest.

Ahmadi stated: to deal with and fight against the oak germinating pest, more than 10 billion Tomans of credit is needed to fight against this pest in all levels of the province's forests, especially in difficult areas by helicopter and by air.

According to him, the implementation of operations to combat these pests in the forests of the province uses the method of foliar spraying with the biological composition of BT, which is compatible with the environment and does not harm organisms and the environment.

He said: "Oak-eating and leaf-eating pests of oak is one of the most important causes of destruction of oak forest species. This pest feeds on buds and leaves in the larval stage and leaves the trees without leaves in case of flooding."

Ahmadi said that the primary factors for the extinction and destruction of the oak forest species were changes in the precipitation regime, changes in temperature, and said: Snow to rain has weakened and reduced the resistance of trees, and this has led to an increase in pests and diseases in oak circumcision.

The director general of natural resources and watershed management of the province stated: The biological fight against the pest of oak sprouts started in mid-March in the tropical regions of the province, including Lordegan, and will continue until the end of May.
